Ed Valentine is a founding member of both En Avant Playwrights and its experimental offshoot, Cardium Mechanicum. His plays have been seen in NYC and across the U.S. Ed was the three-time winner of Hunter College's Zarkower Award and the two-time winner of the "Best Full-Length Play in Region II" award from the Kennedy Center – American College Theater Festival. You can find his short play, Women Behind the Bush, in the forthcoming Best of En Avant Playwrights anthology from United Stages (Nov. 2008).
In 2007, Ed received his MFA from the Goldberg Dept. of Dramatic Writing at the Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, and was named one of "50 Writers to Watch" by the July '07 Dramatist Magazine. He won a 2007-'08 Writing Fellowship from Nickelodeon TV network in Burbank, CA, where he currently lives and works as a staff writer for the Nick shows "The Fairly OddParents" and "Tuff Puppy."
A proud member of the Dramatists Guild, Ed received a 2003 Guild Fellowship and was named one of "50 Writers to Watch" in the July '07 Dramatist Magazine. In 2007, Ed won a Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship; he now lives and works in Burbank, CA, as a staff writer on Nick's hit show The Fairly OddParents.
